Academy of Dance is One of York County's biggest dance studio, offering the widest range of affordable dance tuition in the area. The 2024-2025 season is the 21st year of family-friendly dance. Our energetic & highly motivated instructors are passionate about their classes and students, teaching child and adult classes in;
Creative Movement, Rhythm & Movement, Tap, Ballet & Pointe, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical, Acro Dance, Tumbling Tots, Technique Classes, Turn & Leap, Pre-Team Classes and More! New CLASSES Every Year !!! Message us or stop in to see what classes we offer! We have classes for all ages and skill levels. We currently have students from the age of 2 - up to 82!
We also offer Private classes! (Solos, Duets & Trios)
Our curriculum is always growing, and this year we are planning to add even more classes to cater to our growing student numbers & interests. So if you don't see a class or time that fits your schedule - please contact us (phone, email or Facebook messenger)
You can register for classes online, and existing students can manage their accounts using our friendly Parent Portal.

Unlike other studios, we run optional fundraisers to offset the cost of costumes. Each student keeps all the profit from their own fundraising efforts. Many students cover their costume costs completely through fundraising.

Siblings are welcome in our New and Improved waiting room(s); we have coloring and toys to keep the younger ones occupied. We have plenty of off-street parking, and our friendly environment sets us apart from downtown studios.

Our smaller class sizes ensures that no fundamental concepts are missed. Students benefit greatly from the extra attention; they learn more, and have more fun. We take great pride in the qualifications and experience of our teachers.

Our informative newsletters are emailed to every family, and are also available in the Studio. Our online Parent Portal allows you to manage your account, check your balance and make payments online.
You get to see all of your student's progress!
There are no “observation days” at Academy of Dance. The studios have large viewing area, so you can see your child during every class. Family and friends are welcome at our Holiday Show and Annual Recital.
Every Student Performs in the Nutcracker! And an End of the Year Recital!
Academy of Dance is proudly the only Studio in York County that performs a full version of the Nutcracker every year. Our Children's Nutcracker is a seasonal delight, where every student - from first year novice to seasoned veteran - gets to perform.
We serve a large area of Southern Maine. Students come to us from Biddeford and Wells, and many surrounding areas, including Saco, Buxton, Dayton, Lyman, Old Orchard Beach, Scarborough, South Portland, Arundel, Cape Porpoise, Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, Moody, York, Berwick, Eliot, Kittery, Limerick, Sanford, Newfield, Waterboro, Springvale, Shapleigh, Alfred and Hollis. We take pride in being a family focused studio and work hard to support the communities that support us! Each year we donate to charities, backpack programs and adopt a family around the holidays!
